The Holidays in New York Just Got 3D!

The Holidays in New York Just Got 3D!Looking for a unique way to spend the holidays in New York City?

Take your friends, family, lovers, to Openhouse Gallery’s 3DEA Pop Up. It doesn’t matter whom, they’ll all enjoy the festivities. You’ll come head-on with all things 3D printing.

There are going to be printed goods, 3D printers for sale. You can also get involved with 3D modeling classes, lectures and seminars.

The people supplying all the 3D fun are Shapeways, Ultimaker and UP!

Openhouse founder, Jon Daou, commented on the upcoming pop up in a press release.

“With 3DEA we’re aiming to deliver the precursor to stores of the future. Here you can customize, invent, or imitate. You can explore online capabilities while getting excellent live customer service,” says Daou. “You can create a part for a machine on the spot, replicate a beautiful sculpture, invent without middlemen.” The 3DEA store is located right in the middle of the Fashion District, the industrious neighborhood long known as the place New Yorkers went to get a product created or designed. “The Eventi is at the center of bringing a new aesthetic and energy to this burgeoning district.”

The pop up will be located at the Eventi Hotel on 29th street and Sixth Avenue. Dates for the event are November 29th to December 27th. Oh, and we forgot to mention that admission is free. It’ll be open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday it will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. It’ll be closed on Mondays.
