Tight Ends Need to Be in Your Fantasy Football Draft Strategy

Tight Ends Need to Be in Your Fantasy Football Draft StrategyFantasy Football drafts are probably wrapping up around this time with the NFL season opening up tomorrow.

Hopefully there is one thing people realized this time around. Tight ends can help your team win just as much as a wide receiver or a running back these days.

Players like Vernon Davis of the San Francisco 49ers and Jimmy Graham of the New Orleans Saints have shown they can put together 1,000-yard seasons and numerous touchdowns.

What that means is that you all need to alter your fantasy football draft strategy.

If you plan on getting yourself a top tight end this season, you should target them in the first five rounds. They will start to fly off the boards after that.

To help you out even more, here are a few tight end steals that I’m sure people won’t have their eyes on this season.

Greg Olsen: The Carolina Panthers’ now solo tight end, Jeremy Shockey is no longer with the team, is going to have a breakout season. Reports out of camp and preseason all point to Olsen having a great year.

Martellus Bennett: The new member of the Big Blue club is sure to steal some big plays this season. We all know Super Bowl MVP, Eli Manning, loves his tight ends. On top of that, there is no standout tight end starting for the New York Giants.

Pick up these guys and you ‘ll definitely have a shot at the playoffs.
