Bar Review: The Pony Bar (UES location)

Bar Review: The Pony Bar (UES location)

Right on the corner of 75th street and 1st Avenue on the Upper East Side, there is a utopia for beer lovers. I’m talking about The Pony Bar.

If you walk into the location, you’d think the boards behind the bar have something to with gambling, but no. It’s a detailed breakdown of all the beers.

It lists the brewery (i.e., Harpoon, Smuttynose etc…), the beer, which is obviously the beer the brewery made and alcohol by volume (ABV).

So, if you’re looking to get a good buzz, you know to go for Breakfast Stout from Founders, which has an 8.3 ABV.

I was finally able to make way into this establishment (it’s really crowded on Friday and Saturday nights) and I had myself some tasty beer.

This is definitely a great place for a beer lover, by that I mean someone who can appreciate the texture, savor every delicious sip and not the guy who just loves slamming beers.

Pony Bar also has an array of tasty treats. I had myself a nice warm pretzel that’s served with beer mustard. But I’m a simple man, they’ve also got burgers, tempura, sausages and much more.

I’ll definitely be returning to this bar, you should definitely check it out too.
