Bar Review: American Trash

Bar Review: American Trash

They say one man’s trash in another man’s treasure, well in this case its actually true.

An upper east side bar that definitely stands out aside from its name alone.

Don’t let the dive bar decor sway you from sitting down and enjoying all that American Trash has to offer. The bar has a big space. There are tables between booths and the bar, so you don’t have to worry about crowds. It’s got a wide array of beers, tap and bottles. The bar is fully-stocked but the ‘trash’s’ treasure is its live music.

Without a cover charge you’re treated to an amazing selection of live music that you wouldn’t normally find at an upper east side bar. You can find blues, metal and folk. It’s loud and only makes you want throw back a shot two, can you say good time?

While I can’t go without saying its got an eclectic crowd that comes to American Trash, but I’m sure that’s what to be expected with a name like that.

The drinks are priced a little bit above average, but considering all the awesome free live music you get in return, I’d say it’s a fair trade.

I’ll certainly be returning.
