Everybody has those bands that they just have to see live! The desire is so big that you’re willing to put up with a long commute, long lines or a crowd full of douchebags.
So what are the bands on my music bucket list?
We can start it all off with Bob Dylan, my favorite singer, my favorite writer, my favorite musician. I hear countless stories of him being terrible live but still, I’ve got to experience Bob Dylan in concert.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers. They’re a band that just seems to get better with age. Anthony Kiedis and Flea give out so much energy, there is probably no chance in hell that it’s going to be a bad show.
Who else? We’ve got No Doubt. They’ve got a new album coming out this year and probably definitely embark on a tour. They’re probably going to do a lot of their new songs, so hopefully it’s a good album. No Doubt is a fun band that probably makes for a great show.
Seasick Steve. As I get older my live music taste is changing. I’m into chill shows that have no shot of a mosh pit breaking out (I’ve been to quite a few metal shows). Blues hits me right in the heart and the way Steve delivers it, it’s unparallel.
A recent addition to my live music bucket is Natural Child. My favorite band at the moment, they deliver pure raw rock and roll that makes you think, “yes, good music is still out there.”
