Album Review: Conveyor (Self-titled)

Album Review: Conveyor (Self-titled)Due out July 17 is a self-titled album from Conveyor.

They are one many bands claiming to be from Brooklyn, New York but these guys are one of the few bands that can hold that label with some dignity. It’s a very dense record, easily one of the most sophisticated LPs I’ve heard in quite sometime. You can tell these guys are smart and I’m not just saying that because one of them wears glasses. Its sound is so layered, the band plays on so many different notes your brain is just overwhelmed.

The 11-track record is a wild ride for sure. Take “Short Hair” for instance. There are elements of pop, electronica, There is only one verse. “you have short hair/ you have short hair but you waited too long/you have short hair/ you have short hair but your face is too long/ you have short hair but you grew it too long.”

It’s one of the most stand-out tracks on the album, its as if the Beach Boys and TV on the Radio made a music baby. Another one of my favorite tracks is “Right Sleep.”

It’s worthy of a listen for sure.

The record was released via Paper Garden Records.
