The landscape of Bloom was built on the road.
It’s only fitting because Bloom definitely takes you on a journey.
The 10-track LP from Beach House, their fourth studio album, only further etched their name in the music industry as one of the most unique bands around.
I normally don’t take to bands with a sound that Beach House possesses but their dreamy music makes my brain tingle.
The band spent almost 10 weeks putting the album together and shows with their layered sound. The melodies and chords throughout the tracks just create a euphoria that leaves a pleasant feeling in your bones once the record is finished.
Some of my favorite tracks on the record include one of the singles, “Lazuli” and “The Hours.”
The record is due out May 15th and they’re following it with a lengthy tour that includes a stop in New York City on July 23rd for Central Park SummerStage.
I can only imagine what a live Beach House show is like (yet to be at one) but it must feel like you’ve spent a couple of hours in heaven.
It’ll be interesting to see where the band goes from Bloom but this journey definitely has a few more pit-stops left in them before the tank is empty.
Here is “Lazuli:”
