What better day to write about something scary than Friday the 13th!

It appears Rob Zombie isn’t going to be the only rock-and-roller musician in the horror film world.

Loudwire has spread the news that legendary heavy metal singer, Phil Anselmo is starting his own horror film festival.

It’s going to be called Housecore Horror Film Festival and is expected to take place in Austin, Texas. The only downside for those excited for the ‘scary’ news is that it won’t be launching until October of next year.

I’m sure it’s going to be worth the wait however. Anselmo doesn’t associate himself with anything that isn’t kick-ass.

The former Pantera frontman isn’t looking to oust Fantastic Fest according to Corey Mitchell, the man working on Anselmo’s autobiography.

I’m sure it’ll help breathe fresh life in a dying genre.
