Patricia Clarkson Joins Indie Dark Comedy, “Last Weekend”

Patricia Clarkson Joins Indie Dark Comedy, “Last Weekend”The ‘versatile’ Patricia Clarkson has joined the cast of the indie dark comedy, “Last Weekend.”

She’ll be playing the mother in the film that is set to start production this week and I’m sure the directors, Tom Dolby and Tom Williams, are excited. It’s their directorial debuts.

“Last Weekend” is about a long weekend family and friends partake in at Lake Tahoe. A series of events lead to the future of the family and the house being put into question.

It’ll actually be shooting in the same Lake Tahoe home that was in the 1951 film, “A Place in The Sun,” according to the Cinema Blend report. That film featured Elizabeth Taylor.

Clarkson is joining Zachary Booth, Joseph Cross, Devon Gray, Jayma Mays, Chris Mulkey (Clarkson’s on-screen husband in this movie), Alexia Rasmussen and Rutina Wesley.

Cross and Booth will be playing the sons. Not sure who Booth is? He recently appeared on the TV show, “Damages.”

Let’s hope the addition of Clarkson doesn’t spell bad news for everybody involved. She’s been in a recent string of films that didn’t even look good enough for me to watch. I’m talking “Friends with Benefits” and that WWE film about wrestling (go figured!).

She’ll also be in “The East,” which stars Alexander Sarsgard.
