The great-granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway has a new movie coming out November 9th in New York and Los Angeles.
Her name? Dree Hemingway. She is starring in Starlet. It’s a film directed by Sean Baker and written by Baker and Chris Bergoch off of Music Box Films.
Hemingway plays Jane. Jane develops an unlikely friendship with an 85-year-old Sadie. Things get interesting when the two cross paths at Sadie’s yard sale and Jane discovers money inside a relic from Sadie’s past. Jane tries her best to help Sadie and her problems but conflict only continues to emerge. The movie’s title comes from Jane’s chihuahua’s name.
It’s not Hemingway’s first rodeo believe it or not. She’s recently been in Someday This Pain Will Be Useful to You and The Truth About Angels.

It was an official selection at the 2012 SXSW Film Festival. It was also an official selection at the 2012 Locarno Film Festival.
