Alan Cumming fans can rejoice in a new role of his.

He’s got a very dramatic role in “Any Day Now” coming out soon.

Cumming plays Rudy, a guy who wants to do everything in his power to adopt Marco, played by Isaac Leyva.

Marco is a teenager with down syndrome who has been abandoned by his mother.

You think this whole thing would be easy right? Well this all takes place in the 70s, oh and I did I mention that Rudy is gay. His partner is Paul, played by Garret Dillahunt. Drama unfolds as their pursuit of adopting Marco progresses.

Marco will inevitably test the relationship between Garret and Rudy. Will Garret step and admit his sexuality in front of the public, risking his career and everything he’s worked for?

The “Any Day Now” trailer above gives away most of the movie and answers to the questions I just asked. Hopefully there are a few twists and turns to make this movie feel like you didn’t waste your time.

The 97-minute film is based on a true story.

“Any Day Now” will be out December 14th in New York and Los Angeles from Music Box Films.

Are you an Alan Cumming fan? Will You be checking out this film?
