I’ve recently come across a project that is trying to spread the same message that I’ve been trying to do, that is bringing true talent to the masses, not the talentless we see so much today.

The mind behind the message belongs to Lucy-Jade Norris. She is the host/creator/producer. She came up with the idea in the spring of this year. She’s looking to highlight the three t’s of New York; trends, tastes and talents. It’s called “On Deck With Lucy.”

The show will cover actors, musicians, comedians and designers.

The first episode of “On Deck With Lucy” covers “Lemon,” and its U.S. red carpet premiere.

“Lemon” is a documentary film about Lemon Anderson directed by Laura Brownston and Beth Levison. He’s a poet that rose to fame on Broadway through Russell Simmons’ Def Poetry Jam. The story in the film is about his quest to return to glory with a performance at the Public Theater. Through all that he’s living with 13 family members, meets Spike Lee and other big wigs of New York City.
