There is a new minute-long commercial out there meshing the classy spy, James Bond and the classy beer, Heineken.
The commercial is called The Express. It opens up with a clip of James Bond (probably from the upcoming “Skyfall” movie) alongside a train and then quickly transitions to a gentlemen styled-up just like Bond running through the train. He’s being chased through the train and eventually runs back into Bond played by the man himself, Daniel Craig. Craig hands the Bond-look-alike a Heineken and then runs off too because dudes are chasing him.
The new Bond girl, Severine, also shows up in the commercial.
The match between Bond and Heineken made sense, production was very well done. Overall, it’s a good commercial.
As of this writing, it’s got 516,025 views on YouTube and over seven pages of comments too. Needless to say, it’s drawing quite the reaction. It’s got 596 likes and only 66 dislikes.
It’s a nice change of pace in terms of advertising from Heineken. A lot of their commercials are kind of annoying. This commercial didn’t make me want to drink Heineken any more or less but it did make me YouTube the song in the commercial.
Also, if you’re wondering what the song in the commercial is, it’s “Man Like That” by Gin Wigmore. I’m sure Gin Wigmore thinks its the best commercial in the world.
