If you’re not sure who Jené Luciani is, you may have heard of her as the “bra fit guru.” She has given advice on an array of topics, ranging from fashion to finding the perfect fitting bra for “real” women on a budget. Now we all know how hard it is to find a comfortable bra that is also both sexy and pretty. In The Bra Book, Luciani sheds some light on the topic. She touches on everything from the history of the bra to how to measure your body for a correct fit to why most women are wearing the wrong bra size to the different bra styles and functions. She is set to appear on BRAVO’s new show featuring Project Runway’s Chris March airing this summer. The event was filmed by BRAVO TV for this purpose.
Upon arriving at the swank Restaurant i (which is part of the brand new Charles Hotel), guests were photographed on the Bravo wall and treated to complimentary Bra-tinis (specially mixed cocktails using Nuvo Sparkling Liquor). Floating around the venue were appetizers, sweet cupcakes and banana bread/caramel treats made by My Modern Bash and Ooh La La Candy. Mark “DJ Chef” Weiss provided the soundtrack for the night, a mix of new hits and dance classics. DJ Chef is known for spinning the hits while simultaneously cooking food. He has been seen on MTV Celebrity Spring Break Style, FUSE TV and Food Network.
When Luciani arrived to walk the Pink Carpet, everyone was in an uproar. She looked beautiful in a custom-made number consisting entirely of a white corset and a skirt of gem-adorned bra cups. Her hat was also unique, made out of a pink bra cup and adorned with two feathers. The outfit was the toast of the night. Luciani greeted guests with a smile, spoke to reporters and mingled with the crowd. Also in attendance were singer Kat Deluna and New York socialite/ Paper Magazine columnist Paul Johnson Calderon.
