Seattle Mariners’ Ichiro Suzuki Donates $1.25 Mill. to Japan Relief

Seattle Mariners outfielder, Ichiro Suzuki, donated 100 million yen to Red Cross’ Japan relief effort Friday.

100 million yen translates to $1.25 million in U.S. currency.

The Mariners organization announced they will match any donation by their front office.

Suzuki is a native of Japan.
