I’m the kind of beer drinker that puts convenience over savings.
But what I’m good at is making the best of where I’m stationed.
So here are some helpful beer drinking tips, five of them, to help you get some free beer along your trails.
Bars with Buybacks: If you’re at a good bar, you’ll be getting a free beer after every third one or so. You can still go wrong though once you’re in the trenches. Always make sure you order from the same bartender ( if they’re multiple). Most day bartenders leave their shift at eight, so if that time is coming up you better chug that third beer and squeeze you’re fourth and free one out.
Open Bars: There are plenty websites out there that offer up free open bars, like myopenbar.com. We can’t forget about the daily deals websites like Scoutmob. The problem with the open bars is that there are a million other people doing the same thing you’re doing. So the place is going to be crowded and you’ll have a hard time getting a drink from the bar or nightclub.
Giveaways: A lot beer companies stop by bars to give away free beers for an hour or two. Most of the time its light beer but free is free. I’d drink it! The best way to find of these is to ask around. Check in your local bar and if you’re cool with the bartenders, they’ll hit you up with the info.
Get cool with the owner: I’ve been a ‘local’ in my fair share of bars and was often provided free drinks because I was cool with owner. How do you get cool with the owner? Play good music on the jukebox, don’t start no trouble and and bring friends with you. A recipe for success.
You can always get free beer too if you stay on your bartender’s good side.
