Yep, it’s Thanksgiving! Happy Thanksgiving ya’ll! In the spirit of giving thanks, I’m telling the world about all the musical things I’m thankful.
1. I’m thankful for Bob Dylan still being a live and blessing us with his words.
2. I’m thankful Phil Anselmo and Down are making new music.
3. I’m thankful I started this website, which opened me up to such new amazing bands as Sister Sparrow and The Dirty and 4onTheFloor to name a few.
5. I’m thankful to having four older brothers that made me listen to real hip-hop like Wu-Tang Clan and Cypress Hill and metal bands like Slayer and Pantera.
6. I’m thankful for seeing Tom Petty, Metallica and Phil Anselmo live!
7. I’m thankful for MP3 files, making my CD collection mobile.
8. I’m thankful for bands like Motorhead, The Kills, Dave Grohl, Feist.
9. I’m thankful I grew up listening/watching my dad play guitar and the banjo.
10. I’m thank that best part of my relationship with music has yet to come.
