“Statistics” by Lyfe Jennings

Open Mic Session

Lyfe Jennings’ new album, I Still Believe, drops today, we’re showcasing the song, “Statistics” from the new record. The socially conscious singer and former convict has an upcoming tour. He’ll be playing all over the U.S. throughout September and October, including a show in New York City on Oct. 1st at B.B. King Blues Club and Grill. Tickets are all ready on sale for the show. It’s nice to finally hear an original R&B song with different take, not looking for love from someone else but loving yourself first. It’s the fourth album from the singer and his first since 2008.

This man is highly underrated!! I have listened to him from his first release, Lyfe 268-192 (2003), and knew that he was worthy of the spotlight. What I didn’t know what that he served time in prison for arson!? Yes, arson.

Regardless, his new album is great and I will continue to be a fan for Lyfe!
