Is There Another Division Title in Store for Manning and the Colts?

Peyton ManningThe NFL season is right around the corner and you may be wondering how well your team is going to do this season. Well if you’re a gambling man, there are a few safe predictions, Peyton Manning will continue his success, the Raiders will be vastly improved with an actual quarterback, but whose going to win the divisions and take their team to the playoffs.

AFC East: The New York Jets will take this division. It won’t be easy, they’ll face stiff competition from the New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins but the Jets are just too stacked in every aspect of the game. The only question marks lay on special teams, and Mark Sanchez interception tendencies. If he can keep those under 20 this season, the Jets shouldn’t have a problem running the ball down their opponents throats and stack victories.

AFC North: The Cincinnati Bengals led by their massive receiver corps will help them keep the ball moving along with Cedric Benson. The Steelers will miss Ben Roethlisberger for at least six games, their coaching staff is smart and will be able to make the necessary adjustments to keep the team in contention but it will probably be too late before the team catches up from those six games. The Ravens are really a one man show with Ray Rice. The addition of Anquan Boldin will keep the opponents honest but they are still missing that ‘one piece.’ The Bengals should win this division.

AFC South: As long as Manning is in this division, the Indianapolis Colts will reign supreme. The Texans should be improved and the Tennessee Titans will make the playoffs, both teams should challenge the Colts but Manning is the smartest player in the game, he’s always got a chance to win the game and knows how to overcome the odds.

AFC West: This division is the Chargers’ for the taking. The Chiefs are still terrible, would be lucky to win 5 games, the Bronces are just riddled with ‘ifs,’ especially with the departure of great wideout, Brandon Marshall. The Raiders will be the pleasant surprise, the addition of Jason Campbell should ensure a couple more wins for the team. San Diego will be a solid team even without LaDainian Tomlinson. They’ve got at least four wins in their pocket facing their AFC West cohorts.
