One of the hardest working men in the music biz is taking another step to give his fans what they want.
If you’ve been to a Local H show than you’ve experienced the crowd rage when they cover “Wolf Like Me” from TV on The Radio or “Toxic” from Britney Spears. Well Scott Lucas is no idiot and is releasing a covers album on behalf of his Local H band on October 19th aptly titled, Awesome Mix Tape #1.
“Wolf Like Me” will be on the record along with music originally performed by Pink Floyd, Concrete Blonde and much more. The record will also be released as a cassette tape to honor its album title in a limited-edition. As of now the album will contain the following tracks:
Wolf Like Me from TV On The Radio
Joey from Concrete Blonde
Puss from The Jesus Lizard
Spiderbite from Winnebago Deal
Blood Stains from Agent Orange
Time from Pink Floyd
For Lovers from Wolfman
No other songs have been announced but I’m sure this isn’t it. Scott Lucas recorded a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Positively 4th Street” with his other band, Scott Lucas and The Married, so he’s obviously got great taste in selecting cover songs.
What would you like to see Local H add to their Awesome Mix Tape #1? Sounds like they’ve got more in store for us.
